Sutton in Ashfield Remembrance Group
You may not be aware but it's just a small team that puts together the remembrance parade & service.
Here's the story about who we are and what we have done, also some information about the men & women that gave their lives for the freedom that we take for granted today.
Sutton in Ashfield Cenotaph
The Cenotaph was erected circa 1920 & includes the names of fallen in conflicts
First World War (1914-1918) Second World War (1939-1945) Korean War (1950-1953) Northern Ireland
The Parade
The parade starts from Portland square in Sutton's town centre and marches along Lammas rd to the cemetery.

Remembrance Sunday Proceedings
If you wish to attend the Remembrance Sunday Parade here is the order of proceedings.
Fall in
At Portland Square
Fall in for the march will take place outside of Wetherspoons @ 10.15 Jon will be the parade marshall & will tell you where to form up..
March to the cemetary
The march will proceed @ 10.20 hrs & make its way up to the roundabout & along Lammas rd & into the cemetary.
The service
The service will begin at 10.58 hrs & include 2 minutes silence, we ask that you make sure young children understand the importance of this two mins.
Drinks & refreshments @The Grosvener rooms
After the service there will be food & tea/coffee also the bar will be open for alcoholic drinks.
As well as the brillant duo who sang last year we are also holding a raffle to help fund next years parade.
We would love to see you all there but please visit the "Tommy display" in the St Mary's memorial park on route.
The Remembrance group needs you
We're looking for volunteers to help create & erect the display.
Viewing Hours
The display will be available to view from the middle of October to the end of November.
